Väghållarsten (Road Marker Stone)

My ancestors lived continuously
in Fröderyd parish for at last 235
years (circa 1670-1904) and at the
village af Hökhult i Fröderyd from
1708 to 1904.

The Väghållarsten photo on my home
page depicts a road marker stone at
Hökhult which was a means by which
the farmer of every village marked
their area. This is a fallen stone that
found at Asssaregården (farm) along
the district road that passes by
Hökhult. It is marked "Number 11" with
the date 1666.
